The Sunday Post ~ 17th Edition

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, book addicts! What is new with you? I definitely cut back on my Kindle Freebies this week — only ten! That took some major willpower on my part. I have to take my four and six-year-old girls for allergy testing at the end of this week, and I’m not looking forward to it. I don’t know if the doctor is going to scratch them or poke them or what, but I’m certain it won’t be pleasant for them, which in turn makes it unpleasant for me. Oh, but they did get their ears pierced last weekend and didn’t even cry. I’d like to think that would be an indication of how tough they are, but they wanted to get their ears pierced. I believe they talk about that experience in last week’s Kids Corner Storytime Vlog.

As you can see, it was a HUGE week on the blog this past week. I’m actually a bit knackered. Ha!

Oo la la. Some amazing books! Hope you have a great week. 🙂

And if you’d like to stop by, I have a Sunday Post up as well…

    • I like that.. Oo la la! 🙂 There are definitely some amazing books.. I just need to find the time to read them all, now. hehe.

  • Bea @ Bea’s Book Nook

WHOA, you had a very busy week indeed. How do you do it?

Make sure to bring antihistamines and cream that you can give the girls after the testing. It was a miserable experience and I was an adult when I had it done. 🙁 Good luck!

    • Thanks, Bea! I was wondering if I should take something, or if they would give them something after it was over. Poor things are already dealing with allergy issues because I had to take them off their Zyrtec for a week before the testing. I just need to power through this so I can find out exactly what it is they are allergic to.

As far as how I keep up with this blog… I don’t sleep much. LOL.

      Have an AWESOME week!!

  • I have heard Nomad is good, I look forward to your thoughts. We got our ears pierced when I turned five I still remember our grandmother went and we all had lunch in the city. Good control on those freebies! The Sunday Post

    • Well, that’s cool. So maybe my girls will remember it, too! 🙂 I can’t wait to read Nomad. I hope it’s as awesome as I think it’s going to be.

Aren’t Kindle Freebies dangerous? I keep getting so many of them. Enjoy yours!

    • Yes, they are so dangerous! I’m dreading the time when I go to download something and it tells me I’m SOL because my tablet is full.

  • Ah Nomad! I want that book so hard just for the cover! It sounds so badass!
    Enjoy your lovelies! 🙂

    • Nomad will make an appearance here for a book blast this Thursday… with a giveaway!! Make sure to stop back by and enter, Nick! 🙂

  • Interesting book haul. Enjoy your reading!
