What you do for work outside of blogging?

I am a logistics account manager for Con-way (soon to be XPO Logistics). In short, I quote the movement of freight to my customers and then find carriers with the best price to cover the loads. You could also call me a freight broker.

What you do besides blogging in the literary world (editing, book reviewing, etc…)?

I write. I had two stories (one paranormal and one post-apocalyptic) published last year in anthologies. I have much more to share with the literary world, I just need to make time to start writing again.

What’s the one thing you feel you’ve gained by doing the above?

Blogging has enabled me to meet so many awesome people that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. I’ve done a lot of blogging over the last 15 years, but none so rewarding as my book blog. I’m super grateful for the friendship and the awesome books I’ve had the pleasure to read.

How did you find Utopia?

I believe Ren from A Little Bit of R&R was the first person to make me aware of Utopia. I’m so glad she did!

What did you learn or gain at Utopia that you don’t feel you would’ve gotten anywhere else?

It gave me the courage and confidence in myself to get my stories published! Not to mention an entire family of authors, bloggers, readers, and publishers that mean the world to me now.

What’s one thing you’d like to see folks in the literary world do (together or separately)?

Honestly? Get along and support one another more. I haven’t come across anyone that I know, or anyone I met at Utopia, that has displayed unsportsmanlike conduct, but there are so many out there that beat each other down, and it makes me sad. Lift as you climb, people. Lift as you climb.

How do you feel you contribute to the writer world at large?

I do my very best to support authors by sharing their work with the rest of the world (or at least the folks that read my blog and visit my social media sites).

What’s your ultimate blogging goal?

Oh, gosh. That’s a difficult one to answer. I always strive to do more. I’d love to have a clone of myself so I can accomplish double the amount of work I do now. Ha! Right now it’s unclear what my ultimate goal is. My ideas are always changing.
