Genre: Paranormal Romance
Seventy years after her untimely death, Catherine has finally decided to do what she was never able to do before – live. The biggest problem for her, is that in order for her to live, others must die.
How does a gentle soul, who only wants a happy, complete life, balance her nature with her true self?
After 500 years, Henri is ready to welcome oblivion. The deal is simple: condemn Catherine and be granted the peaceful rest he yearns for.
How does a tired soul, weary of the world, reconcile another’s misery with his own goals?
To find their way, they must rely on their combined strength, or risk losing everything they’ve ever wanted.
Learning a little about CL Foster!
Do your characters come to you first or does the storyline?
Typically, I dream my stories or I see something that makes me say ‘what if?’ and it just sort of blooms from there. Sometimes characters are first, but usually story.
These characters, do you have inspiration from people you know or are they in your head?
I always have a photo of a character. Or at least someone that looks LIKE them to me. I often write out character profiles for them also.. even the slightest detail about what their fave food or most used snarky remark is can help me build the story better.
What’s your favorite story that you’ve written so far?
o.O I can’t possibly answer that as, at the time, they are all my favorites. Each has a special place in my heart. I know that sounds silly or cliche, but they really do. They are like my kids. There might be a favorite from time to time but you love them all equally after that. haha
What’s your writing process like?
I am an odd-duck. I dont really have a process per se. I just think of the thing I want to write and begin. I get the first chapter nailed down then think of where I want it to go and roll from there. Sometimes I outline, but not usually. I just kind of let the story go where it wants.
Do you have more in store for this year? Next?
Oh yes! I have a release coming out June 6th entitled Heart of War that I co-wrote with E.R. Rada. It’s a historical romance and I guess right now its my newest favorite. 🙂 Then I will be finishing up my Imprint Series and I have a serial killer book coming out later in the year, possibly early 2015 and have a few other projects in the works as well. Its very exciting. I love what I do!

Heart of War
by C.L. Foster & E.R. Rada
Series: Lady & Knight Chronicles
Publication date: June 6th 2014
Genre: Historical Romance
The Hundred Years War rages around Adalira Mortimer’s life and country, but she is not what is expected of a Lady; instead of dresses and tea, she dreams about weapons and war.
Bastian Kyros is not typical royalty. Being a warrior is in his blood, not paperwork and peace-keeping.
Tradition drives their families. She is expected to don her manners and win a worthy husband, and he is expected to drop his sword and do what’s right for the sake of his family’s name, land, and future.
Their chance meeting at the party of the season may offer them both the chance to find what they desire. Brought together by their longing for battle, their greatest fight may be in winning over their families and conquering their own pride.
A lull in battle does not mean there is peace. The greatest of wars are fought in the heart.
~About the Author~
CL is eclectic, geeky, positive, nature-loving and completely non-“normal” (just the way she likes to be). She has been a fan of literature since she was a small child and finally decided to take her dreams (both waking and sleeping!) and do something positive with them.
CL has lived all over the world and has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, minoring in Psychology and Forensics. Which means you don’t want to cross her because she knows how and where to hide a body so it’s never found! She proudly admits to hearing voices in her head, but at times, her characters’ impromptu visits can be rude and annoying. Thankfully, she has adequate patience for their shenanigans and can out ninja them any day of the week.
CL’s voice is boisterous, sassy, and not finished yet! Stay tuned!
